Megan Brown is an editor at Oni Press by way of IDW Publishing, where she worked on such titles as Marvel Action: Captain Marvel, Read Only Memories, GLOW, Dungeons & Dragons, TMNT, Star Trek, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Napoleon Dynamite, Godzilla, and more. She helped spearhead IDW’s original graphic novel initiative, acquiring and editing over 15 books for the line, the first of which—Codex Black: A Fire Among Clouds and Cooking with Monsters: The Beginner’s Guide to Culinary Combat—hit stores in 2023.
At Oni, Megan has worked on everything from Night People (based on the novel by acclaimed author Barry Gifford) to Adventure Time to Sesame Street, and is responsible for shepherding several more creator-owned and licensed projects, including Covenant, Jill and the Killers, and I Was the Cat: 10th Anniversary Edition.
She has also written several comics—including the Napoleon Dynamite Valentine’s Day Special, My Little Pony: Classics Reimagined: Little Fillies, the My Little Pony: Bridlewoodstock special, My Little Pony: Classics Reimagined: Valentine’s Day Special: Romeo & Juliet, My Little Pony: Set Your Sail (with Casey Gilly), Monster High Pride 2024, and the upcoming My Little Pony: Classics Reimagined: The Odyssey—and several novels (though those have yet to be published…).
When she’s not listening to American Rock Band My Chemical Romance and scouring antique stores to add to her VHS collection, she’s watching Star Trek, reading books about vampires, talking about how Birds of Prey was the perfect comic book movie, working her way through a huge pile of horror movies, and annoying her dogs Radar and Sparky, who are named after characters in M*A*S*H.
